Intra-Oral Photography

We utilize intra-oral digital photography that helps you better understand your diagnosis. High resolution digital images allows our practice to view clear and precise areas of your mouth, teeth and gums in order for us to make accurate diagnoses. The camera produces clear, defined and enlarged images that enable you to see details that may have been missed by standard mirror examinations. What does this mean for you, the patient? A faster diagnosis with less chair-time! Digital images are then captured and sent to a flat screen LCD monitor mounted above each treatment chair. Here, the patient and dentist can view them together. As a result, patients learn about their problem areas and better understand their treatment, which increases their comfort before and during a procedure.

Computer Imaging

Want to know what your finished smile will look like before the dentist even begins treatment? With computer imaging technology, our dentist can digitally enhance a photo of your smile to show you what to expect if you choose cosmetic dentistry treatments. Computer smile imaging can show the dazzling effects that porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, cosmetic dentistry, porcelain crowns, restorative dentistry, and other procedures can have on your smile.

Digital Radiography

This procedure involves the use of a small sensor that is briefly placed inside the mouth while an X-ray is taken. This sensor acts like a tiny camera that is sensitive to X-ray light and able to capture details that many times go undetected with film based X-rays. This gives the dentist and patient an opportunity to discuss conservative treatment verses a problem going undetected. Digital radiography uses 75% less radiation than conventional film X-rays.

Digital Dental CT Scans

To further enhance the predictability of our advanced dental procedures, we utilize a digital Dental Cone Beam X-ray that has the capability to be reconstructed into a 3-Dimensional image. With this technology, we are able to examine the treatment areas in both length, height, and width, thus greatly surpassing the old two dimensional X-rays. As with all digital radiographic techniques, the radiation dose is 95% less than conventional medical CT scans.
